Police Blotter: Beer Bandit Strikes Walgreens Again

The manager of the Walgreens on Brainerd Road said a beer bandit struck again.

He said in the latest incident the man walked out with two cases of beer.

 The culprit is described as a black male in his 40s, 6' tall and 200 pounds.

Police said April Dawn McGill was spotted taking boots worth $89.99 out of Kohl's on Highway 153 without bothering to pay.

She was cited to court for theft under $500.

Ms. McGill is banned from Kohl's henceforth.

Officers responded on a report of a band practicing in the back yard of a house on Snow Street at 10:55 p.m.

Evan Olannerghty said it won't happen again.

Castillo Hilario of E. 18th Street said during the 30 minutes he went to Main Street to pick up his vehicle someone stole his washing machine.

The white Maytag was on his porch being worked on.

Natasha Young of S. Moore Road said she heard a loud crunching sound in her front yard.

She said a Jeep turned around on her property and ran over the pool. She said it may be damaged beyond repair.

On Metro Park Lane, Melissa Gilbert said she fell asleep, then got up to smoke.

She noticed that her car, that had been parked out front, was missing.

Ms. Gilbert said she regularly leaves the car unlocked with the keys inside.
