Chattanoogans gained a new perspective of the city and celebrated the accomplishments that have made Chattanooga a leader in sustainability at green|spaces’ 3rd Annual Rooftop Hop. The Rooftop Hop continues as an event to raise awareness and funds for sustainable building in the Chattanooga area.
Attendees hopped from four Satellite Rooftop Parties including High Point Climbing Center, Hunter Museum, CitiPark Garage, and the Chattanoogan Hotel, learning about how each of these buildings promote sustainable living, working and building in Chattanooga while enjoying local foods, beverages and entertainment.
The main event was held at Hunter Museum, who after making some simple changes to save energy, have seen a return of over $75,000 over the past five years.
Fifteen restaurants showcased locally crafted foods including one from a farm that has a net zero energy consumption.
All proceeds benefited green|spaces who promotes sustainable living, working and building in the Chattanooga area.
The date has been set for next year for Oct. 17. For more information contact Dawn Hjelseth, director of development, green|spaces, 63 E. Main St., Chattanooga, TN 37408 Phone 423-648-0963 www.therooftophop.com
