Mary Ruth Luttrell, 75, longtime resident of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died on Friday, October 17, 2014.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren G. Luttrell, Sr., mother, Alva Williams and sister, Jennifer Williams.

Mary was a veteran of the Women’s Army Corps where she served as a nurse. She retired with K-Mart Corporation after 20 years working as a retail manager.

She attended Meadowview Baptist Church in Georgetown, Tn.

Survivors include her son, Warren G. (Marguerite) Luttrell, Jr., of Ooltewah, two daughters, Stacey (Mark) Tipton, of Harrison, Candace E. Smith, of Dover, De., four grandchildren, Marissa, Kevin, William, Katelyn, great grandson, Benjamin, brother, Ray (Ruth) Williams, of Alabama, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 21, at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Reverend Al Miller officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Monday at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
