Love's Travel Stops Raises Money For Children's Hospital

  • Saturday, October 18, 2014

Love’s Travel Stops team members and customers raised more than $14,900 during Love’s annual fundraising campaign for Children’s Hospital at Erlanger, a member of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

Employees invited customers to purchase a $1, $5 or $20 Miracle Balloon at the register during the recent month-long fundraising campaign, Put the Money Where the Miracles Are.  Their generosity resulted in over $14,900 raised locally for Children’s Hospital at Erlanger.

Nationally, Love’s Travel Stops raised more than $1.86 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, a charity that raises funds and awareness for 170 children’s hospitals in North America. Donations directly benefited 94 member hospitals in the communities where Love’s operates.

Like all Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals fundraisers, the $1.86 million raised from Love’s campaign will help fund life-saving equipment and facilities, extensive research and child-life services to help save and improve the lives of kids treated at member hospitals such as Children’s Hospital at Erlanger.

“Children’s Hospital at Erlanger provides world-class care for children suffering from every injury and illness imaginable,” said John Lauck, president and CEO of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. “Love’s Travel Stops team members did a tremendous job educating customers on why donations are needed. We are grateful for all those who opened up their generous hearts to help make miracles happen in their own communities.”

Love’s Travels Stops has been a partner of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals since 1999, raising funds for children’s hospitals through multiple campaigns totaling more than $12 million raised.
