James Walter Lane, 80, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday evening, October 17, 2014, in a Chattanooga health care facility.

He was a retired truck driver from the State of Minnesota. He was a member of the Tyner congregation of the Jehovah’s Witness. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. 

He is survived by his wife, Lillian Lane, Chattanooga; four children, Stephanie Jensen, Isanti, MN, Jacqueline Wilson, Clarkesville, TN, Jamie Lane and Kim Olsen of Minnesota; two step-children, Marine and Paul of Minnesota; eight grandchildren; and one sister, Joyce Lane, Chattanooga.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are being handled by Grissom-Serenity Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
