Glen Crutchfield
Glen Crutchfield, 55, of Chickamauga, Georgia, died on Saturday, October 18, 2014.
He had been a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia areas and was a member of Chattanooga Valley Baptist Church. He retired from Ringgold Telephone Company as VP of Service Design in 2014 after more than 37 years of service. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and Papa who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was a motorcycle enthusiast who enjoyed teaching Matt, Adam and Brock all he knew about them. He enjoyed spending time with his family at the lake fishing, boating, riding jet-skis and time on the dock.
He was preceded in death by one son, Curtis Scott Crutchfield.
Survivors include his loving wife of more than 35 years, Vickie Johnson Crutchfield of Chickamauga; sons and daughters-in-law: Matthew Cole and (Evan) Crutchfield of Flintstone, and Adam Lee and Caitlin) Crutchfield of Chickamauga, two grandchildren, Ava Ruth Crutchfield and Brock Cole Crutchfield, father, Ed Crutchfield of Flintstone; mother and stepfather, Joan and (Ronnie) Walker of Boynton; sister and brother-in-law, Susan and (Larry) Wilson of Rising Fawn, brothers and sisters-in-law, Terry and (Felicia) Crutchfield of Harrison, Eddie and (Betty) Crutchfield and Pat and Pam) Crutchfield, all of Flintstone, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday, Oct. 20, from 11 a.m.–9 p.m. and Tuesday morning after 11 a.m. until the service. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 21, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Ronnie Fleming and David L. Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Gardens in Fort Oglethorpe.
