Jane Rice
Jane Rice, 81, of East Ridge, died on Monday, October 20, 2014.
She was a native of Alabama, had lived several years in Germany while her husband served in the U.S. Army, and had lived over 40 years in the East Ridge area. She worked at Peerless Woolen Mills in Rossville for several years and her and her husband owned and operated Tremont Groceries in North Chattanooga and a grocery in East Ridge.
She was preceded in death by husband of 59 years, Lee W. Rice, Sr.; son, Lee W. Rice, Jr., and daughter, Lana Rice.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Betsy Rice of Chattanooga; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 22, at 11 a.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Reverend Jim Spearman officiating.
Interment will follow in the Lakewood South Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Oct. 21, from 4-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
