Causer And Pierce Are Unresponsive To Constituents

  • Monday, October 20, 2014

At the Red Bank Commission meeting, Tuesday, Oct. 7, a resolution was brought up that would equip nine Red Bank police cars with needed technology, funded by a $33,208 grant matched with $5,000 from the city of Red Bank to purchase tablets that would use the equipment. Commissioner Rick Causer and Vice-Mayor Floy Pierce voted against it.

Before the meeting was adjourned, a concerned citizen asked why they voted "no."  The common courtesy of an answer was never given. This is nothing new to these two. They didn’t show up at a candidate forum held Sept. 23 at the Red Bank Middle School to answer questions from Red Bank citizens. When a resident asks why someone votes the way they do, that resident deserves an answer.

We the people of Red Bank voted you in and deserve to know why you vote the way you do. We the people of Red Bank have to live by the way you vote on every resolution. People of Red Bank, I hope you will join me, on Nov. 4, to elect Terry Pope, John Roberts and Ed LeCompte as Red Bank commissioners. Early voting ends Oct. 30.
