The Southside’s Grocery Bar will host a fall celebration event to raise funds and awareness for the upcoming CureSearch Walk for Children’s Cancer. On Saturday, Oct. 25 from 11 a.m-2 p.m. the community is invited to enjoy free pumpkin decorating, healthy fall-inspired food samples and the opportunity to learn more about how to support CureSearch and their efforts to finding pediatric cancer cures.
Artisans from the Southside community will be on-site to assist with pumpkin decorating, and children are invited to wear Halloween costumes for a fall photo opportunity. All attendees will also have the chance to join the Grocery Bar in helping fill the giant pumpkin with donations that at the end of the day will go to CureSearch. There will be something for everyone to enjoy at this family event and door prizes will include a selection of children’s books, a sampling of Grocery Bar’s all natural, chef-driven products and a grand prize of a $150 store gift card.
“We are honored to support CureSearch and the many families in our community facing cancer,” said Mia Littlejohn, culinary consultant and director at Grocery Bar. “Along with the event donations, we will be giving 5% of our sales from the day to the Chattanooga walk. Grocery Bar is committed to healthy living in this community, and we appreciate the chance to partner with CureSearch to raise awareness and support for cancer research.”
