TEDxUTChattanooga Is Saturday - Participation Available Online

  • Wednesday, October 22, 2014

Registration for Chattanooga’s first TEDx event has closed, but people can still participate through the free online web stream on Saturday. Free viewing parties will be held in the Card and Benwood auditoriums of the UTC Engineering, Mathematics, and Computer Science Building (corner of Vine and Palmetto streets).

Participants in the live event and the on-campus viewing parties can park in Lot 10 adjacent to the EMCS building.

The live stream will be available at https://tedxutchattanooga.com. Organize a TEDxUTChattanooga viewing party and Tweet your comments to the live event during the program using #TEDxUTChatt and follow @TEDxUTChatt.

TEDxUTChattanooga has been organized with UTC campus and community input and is the community’s first independently organized and officially licensed public event based on TED:  Technology, Entertainment, Design conferences.

The slate of 12 speakers, including UTC students and faculty, will each speak on the topic of “Now what?” from their own unique perspectives. In the spirit of progress, innovation, and the city that thought it could and did, TEDxUTChattanooga 2014 asked all the nominees to answer the event’s theme question, “Now what?” Over 60 speakers were nominated and over 40 submitted applications for consideration.
