Two people were injured in a three-car accident in Bradley County on Thursday morning.
Bradley County EMS responded to an early morning crash Wednesday at 7 a.m. at the intersection of Lauderdale Memorial Hwy. and Walker Valley Road in Charleston. Three ambulances and an EMS supervisor responded.
There were three vehicles involved and one car left the roadway.
One adult man suffered serious injuries and it was determined that he needed treatment at a level one trauma center. Air medical was requested by the paramedic in charge to land at the scene. Air Evac landed near the scene and the male patient was flown to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga.
A 50-year-old woman was transported to Sky Ridge Medical in stable condition. A third person was evaluated on the scene and did not require transport.
"This is the second serious crash that we have responded to at this intersection in the past few days. We encourage drivers to be extremely cautious where these roads intersect," said Stan Clark, EMS spokesperson.
