Grace Wins Region 3A/AA Region Championship

  • Thursday, October 23, 2014

The Grace Baptist Academy girls soccer team avenged two earlier losses to rival Boyd-Buchanan Thursday night in the region 3A/AA championship game.  Grace had lost 2-1 and 1-0 to the Lady Bucs but were able to score twice to win the region championship 2-0.

Both teams will advance to sectional play with Grace earning the right to host CCS and Boyd-Buchanan traveling to Notre Dame.

Grace's Holly Badger and Emily Clark scored second half goals in Tuesday's final.

Only sectional winners will advance to the class A/AA state tournament next week in Murfreesboro.
