Minneapolis alternative rock quartet, New Medicine, will hit the road this fall in support of their latest album Breaking the Model, opening for longtime friends Halestorm.  The tour kicks off Nov. 11 in Chattanooga at Track 29 and wraps up Dec. 9 at the Varsity Theatre in Baton Rouge, La. The tour will make stops in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Buffalo, N.Y., Cincinnati, Oh. and Memphis, to name a few. “We could not be more excited to get back out on the road with our friends in Halestorm," said vocalist Jake Scherer.  "We've grown up in the rock scene together and played their first-ever headlining shows. We have so much adoration and respect for them and what they do.  We haven't played together in almost two years, but we have been coming up with a killer set list for the tour with lots of new and old songs for everyone. You never know with these two bands, there could even be a possible collaboration live on stage.  It's gonna be one heck of a night of rock n roll, that I can guarantee.”

Review for New Medicine:

New Medicine recently wrapped up select dates on the Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival playing alongside Godsmack and Seether, and is currently on a short run opening for Pop Evil in support of their recently released sophomore album Breaking the Model, via Imagen Records. Breaking The Model was produced by Kevin Kaddish, known for his work with O.A.R., Skillet, Meat Loaf and Miley Cyrus.

The first single from the latest release, entitled “One Too Many,” is currently reacting at rock radio. The song has been moving up the charts and is poised to crack into the Top 40 at Rock next week. It is at #43 on Mediabase this week with stations such as WRTT, KRXQ, WRZK and WBYR playing the track.

Formed in 2009, New Medicine burst on the scene with their 2010 debut, Race To The Bottom. That album went on to sell over 30,000 copies based on the strength of the music, radio support and a hectic tour schedule. The band also found success on satellite radio with Sirius/XM’s Octane Channel embracing three songs from their debut and had a Top 20 Mainstream Rock hit with the single “Race You To The Bottom.” The band has toured alongside the likes of Avenged Sevenfold, Halestorm, Adelita’s Way, Hollywood Undead and Stone Sour to name a few.

New Medicine is Jake Scherer on vocals, Dan Garland on guitars, Kyle LeBlanc on bass and Dylan Wood on drums.
