Southern Burger Co. And Heaven And Ale To Sponsor Free Event At Cambridge Square

  • Tuesday, October 28, 2014
Cambridge Square tenants, Southern Burger Co. and Heaven & Ale have teamed up to sponsor the second annual fall festival at Cambridge Square, known as Novemberfest.

The event will take place on Nov. 1 from 4-9 pm in the community’s public square. Admission to the event is free. Cambridge Square is located at the corner of Ooltewah-Georgetown Road and Lee Hwy., less than a quarter mile east of exit 11 off I-75.

"Southern Burger Co. is excited to co-host this event,” said Christian Siler, owner of Southern Burger Co.
“Cambridge Square has become the food and beverage destination in Ooltewah, and we can't wait to showcase our burgers and craft beer."

Novemberfest is a family-friendly event featuring live musical performances by local bands, specialty food and beer vendors, food trucks including Fun Time Foods (funnel cakes and hot cocoa), hot apple cider provided by Cambridge Square’s Mixed-Up-Cup, and women’s apparel provided by Paisley Petunia Boutique. The public square will be closed to vehicular traffic so kids who attend can roam freely.

"Heaven & Ale is thrilled to join the thriving Ooltewah community in the Spring of 2015, and we're excited that the versatility of the Square creates opportunities to host amazing events like Novemberfest,” said Ryan Hargrove who will operate Heaven & Ale’s Ooltewah location. “We love using these events to share our enthusiasm for providing a unique, diverse, and delicious craft beer experience."

Craft beers to be featured at Novemberfest will include:

Terrapin Moo Hoo Chocolate Milk Stout
Dogfish Head 60-Minute IPA / Blackstone Hop Jack IPA
Tennessee Brew Works Southern Wit
Smuttynose Vunderbar Pilsner
Terrapin Pumpkinfest

As an added bonus this year, parents needing a date night can register for inexpensive child care through the Ooltewah-Harrison Education Foundation (D9) which has partnered with Camp Big Fish in a fundraising effort for local community schools. Parents can drop their children at the Ooltewah United Methodist Church from 6-10 p.m. Rising kindergartners that will be 5 by Aug. 15, 2015 to current 8th graders are eligible. Cost per child is $15 with 20 percent of all proceeds going to D9.

“This time of year has always been fun at Cambridge Square, and we hope everyone will come out and enjoy the fall festivities,” said Jim Cheney, marketing director for Barrier Properties, Cambridge Square’s developer. “We’ve had a lot of great activity on the square this year, and greatly appreciate the growing support we’ve seen from the community at large.”
