Amy Middleton Thomasson, 83, of Fort Oglethorpe, died on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at her residence.

Mrs. Thomasson was retired from the Fulton County Probate Court as deputy clerk following many years of service and was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Julia Hopkins, husband, Charles Thomasson, and brothers, Allen G. Hopkins and Arthur Hopkins, Jr.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Rodney and Gloria Middleton of Rising Fawn, and Michael and Sharon Middleton of Chattanooga; stepsons, James and Dennis Thomasson; six grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 30, at 2:30 p.m. at Lakewood Memory Gardens South with Pastor Jim Bennett officiating.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12-2 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
