Plummer, Iris Juanita (Trion)

Iris Juanita Plummer, 91, of Trion, GA, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at her residence.

Mrs. Plummer was born January 9, 1923 in Waterloo, AL. She retired as the Office Manager for the Town of Trion, attended the Pleasant Grove Church of Christ. Mrs. Plummer enjoyed planting and reading.    

Mrs. Plummer was preceded in death by her parents, Walter A. Nelson and Mary Zelphia McDonald Nelson; and a brother, Walter Wayne Nelson.    

Mrs. Plummer is survived by her husband of 57 years, James “Jimmy” Plummer; sister-in-law, Mozelle Jones; three nieces; one nephew; and a number of cousins.              

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 31, at 3 p.m. in the Petitt Chapel of Coffman Funeral Home with Minister Hugh Glaze officiating. Interment will follow in West Hill Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Geary Walker, Doug Walker, Joshua Findley, Jeffrey Jones, Benny Sprayberry, and Robert Carl. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Pleasant Grove Church of Christ.      

Visitation for Mrs. Iris Juanita Plummer will be Friday, October 31 at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m.    

Coffman Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
