County Ready In Case Of Ebola Case, Becky Barnes Says

Hamilton County is ready in case there is a patient here with symptoms of the deadly Ebola, Becky Barnes, county Health Department administrator, said.

She said steps are being taken to avoid a situation that happened in Dallas where a man with Ebola was first sent home from a hospital.

Ms. Barnes said, "Ebola is not circulating in the U.S. at this time, but we are preparing for any threat of it."

She said if there happens to be a patient with the disease here, the patient will be isolated quickly and all precautions will be taken.

Ms. Barnes said also Hamilton County has not had cases of a deadly flu strain.
