Hutcheson’s newest medical office, Catoosa Family Practice, has opened on the hospital’s main campus in the Physician Office Building. Longtime area physician Steve Daugherty, DO and his physician assistant Dennis Kurz will see existing primary care patients, welcome new ones into the practice, and accept both appointments and walk-in patients.
Dr. Daugherty received his bachelors degree in Biology at the University of Colorado-Boulder, and obtained his medical degree at University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Mo. He served in the U.S. Army for 15 years prior to opening a family practice clinic in Ringgold in 1992. Dr. Daugherty is married with five children and 12 grandchildren.
Mr. Kurz received his Bachelors of Medicine in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska. After retiring from the U.S. Navy where he served 27 years as a physician assistant, he worked in several emergency departments in Florida, including Citrus Memorial Hospital and The Villages Regional Hospital. Mr. Kurz is married with three children and three grandchildren.
