More than 200 children, families, friends, neighbors and co-workers raised over $9,481 at the CureSearch Walk in Chattanooga on Saturday.
The CureSearch Walk’s theme was “Hero’s Come In All Sizes.” The walk kicked off with activities including a Super Hero Training Day for the children, making super hero capes, masks and a photo booth.
During the opening ceremony, children currently in treatment and children’s cancer survivors were presented with medals of courage. A balloon release then commemorated children who have died from cancer as 12 percent of children with cancer lose their battle.
Funds raised at this CureSearch Walk allow children with cancer to receive world-class treatment and care close to home by supporting therapeutic clinical trials at hospitals across the country.
