Daniel Bond
Daniel Bond has been promoted to partner at Kirkland & Ellis, a 1,600-attorney law firm representing global clients in complex litigation, dispute resolution and arbitration, corporate and tax, restructuring, and intellectual property matters. The firm has offices in Beijing, Chicago, Hong Kong, Houston, London, Los Angeles, Munich, New York, Palo Alto, San Francisco, Shanghai and Washington, D.C.
Mr. Bond is the son of Bill and Rae Bond of Chattanooga. He graduated cum laude from DePaul University College of Law in Chicago and is a graduate of The Baylor School and Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in theater. He is an award-winning playwright, critical writer, and actor.
Mr. Bond has extensive experience in intellectual property and business litigation. His practice is focused on patent litigation; trademark and unfair competition litigation; copyright litigation; and advertising, marketing, and promotions. He also has significant experience in general commercial litigation.
At Kirkland & Ellis, Mr. Bond maintains an active pro bono practice, often representing non-profit organizations in trademark and commercial litigation. He has received Kirkland & Ellis Pro Bono Service Awards for Outstanding Service in 2009-2013.
Mr. Bond and his wife, Eryn Gauen, reside in Chicago.
