  • Wednesday, November 12, 2014

The Hill City Neighborhood has raised just under $4,000 through Causeway for an "Earth Cube"  industrial grade compost bin.

Monika Groppe said the aim is to "reduce food waste and generate nutritious soil for our community garden."

She said, "An engineer from Green Mountain Technologies is flying out from Seattle to build this composter with us, as it was uniquely designed for our specific needs."

The build out of the "Earth Cube" will occur Nov. 21 and 22 at the Hill City Community Gardens, 300 W. Bell Ave.
