CSX Volunteers, Partners Revitalize Green Space In Downtown Chattanooga

  • Thursday, November 13, 2014

CSX employees, Chattanooga City Forester Gene Hyde, community members and representatives from Renew development group will come together for a day of service in downtown Chattanooga on Saturday.

Volunteers will plant 53 trees to increase the Chattanooga tree canopy and continue CSX’s Trees for Tracks Initiative. CSX recently achieved a multi-year goal to plant 21,000 trees, one tree for every mile of track in its network.

The event will be held from 8:30-11 a.m. at 122 W Main St.

Parking is available on-site in the parking lot across from Clyde’s on Main.
