Held on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 9 a.m in the Black Creek Mountain community, the Second Annual Charity 5K and Jingle Bell Fun Run and Walk is for the entire family as well as the serious runners of Chattanooga. The 5K course winds through the neighborhood of Black Creek and will be a timed race managed by the Chattanooga Track Club with award categories. The Jingle Bell Fun Run is for little ones who will not only get a run shirt, but jingle bells as well. Strollers are welcome in the fun run.
A portion of each runner’s entry fee will go to assist Santa in filling the wish list of children from Lookout Valley Elementary School through the Heart of the Valley. In addition, the Black Creek Mountain residents and runners alike are asked to bring canned and non-perishable food items as a donation to the Chattanooga Area Food Bank.
