The Ladies of Lee

The Ladies of Lee, an all-female choir from Lee University, will provide Christmas music for “Lee University Night” at Rock City’s Enchanted Garden of Lights 20th Anniversary Celebration on Friday at 6:30 p.m. in the North Pole Lodge (Rock City’s Pavilion), located in Lookout Mountain, Ga.

The choir, composed of approximately 40 women, travels throughout the eastern United States under the direction of Dr. Jonathan Rodgers, assistant professor of music at Lee, and features a repertoire reflecting a diverse range of styles.

The Enchanted Garden of Lights is an award-winning light extravaganza featuring more than 30 holiday scenes in the gardens at Rock City. In addition to the concert featuring Ladies of Lee, attendees will meet Santa and Mrs. Claus, Inara the Ice Queen, Jack Frost, Frosty the Snowman, Rocky the Elf, Snow Elves, Christmas Elves, and Jerry the Toy Soldier Mime. Other events such as gingerbread cookie decorating and a meeting with Santa Claus (with pictures) are available for additional fees.

For the 20th Anniversary Celebration, Rock City’s Enchanted Garden of Lights welcomes a new scene called the Dancing Forest, a new character named Inara the Ice Queen, and the new Garden’s Gateway Celebration in Lights, featuring Jack Frost and a 26 foot Christmas tree which dances to the sounds of the season.
