Hixson's Braven Horton finished with 21 points in the Wildcats 64-48 win over Notre Dame on Tuesday.
Notre Dame led 11-10 at the close of the first quarter.
Notre Dame was led by Tyler Byrd who helped to pull the Irish within seven in the second half but Hixson would hold on for the win.
Byrd had 32 points.
Notre Dame plays at Soddy-Daisy on Thursday.
