Charles Edward Williams, 70, of LaFayette, GA, passed away Monday, November 17, 2014.
Charles was a retired shop foreman from Freight Liner Trucking Company in Ringgold. He has also worked at Peterbilt Trucking Company and Kenworth Trucking Company. Mr. Williams also had a passion for antique cars.
He was preceded in death by wife, Shirley Williams; son, Charles Williams; granddaughter, Latisha Jennings; parents, Alex and Lucille Williams; and brothers, Homer Williams and John Williams.
He is survived by his daughter, Angelia (Jeffery) Gruber of Summerville; sons, Curtis Williams and Jeff Willliams both LaFayette; sisters, Ruth Asher, Thelma Brown, Louise Thomas, Edna Sherwood, Loretta Helton and Maxine Harris all of LaFayette; nine grandchildren; one great- grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Wallis Memorial Chapel will be Thursday, November 20 at 2 p.m. Interment will be in the Chattooga Baptist Church Cemetery.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, November 19 from 6-8 p.m.
