Heron, Charlotte (Cleveland)

Charlotte Heron, 60, of Cleveland, TN, died Monday, November 17, 2014 in a local health care facility.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Charlotte was a very devoted, loving Christian. She loved caring for the children in her class at Broad Street United Methodist Church where she taught pre-school for 23 years. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Charles S. Heron, Sr. and Hedy Crane Heron.

Survivors include her siblings, Marguerite (Jim) Bryant, Rebecca Wilkins, Charles (Pat) Heron, Jr. and Cassandra (Hoyt) Clark, all of Cleveland; special niece and nephews, Samantha Crowder, Matthew Bryant and Todd Bryant; several other nieces and nephews; very special friend, Bill Harrison; and her precious Yorkie, Magee.

The family would like to thank all who cared for Charlotte at Bradley Rehabilitation and Healthcare for the wonderful care they gave her. Charlotte considered them family and loved them dearly.

At Charlotte’s request, graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 20, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pastor Debbie Stokes officiating. Matthew Bryant, Todd Bryant, Jim Bryant, John Crowder, Jason Hensley and Jeremy Randolph will serve as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 6221 Shallowford Rd., Chattanooga, TN 37421.
