June Jensen
June Ellen Jensen, 74, died in Hixson on Saturday, November 15.
She was born March 16, 1940 in Oakdale, Ca., and moved to Alaska in 1970 where she resided for most of her life with her husband and children.
Mrs. Jensen had a great love of animals. She also enjoyed traveling, reading, winning at board games and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was known for her sense of humor, stubbornness and love of life.
Survivors include her children, Jack Jensen, Jr. (Colette) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Joey Jensen (Stacy) of Yuba City, California and Jill Thrash (Willard) of Hixson, Tennessee; grandchildren Amber, Erica, Rachel, Audrey and Henry; and sister Joanne Hawks.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Jensen, her granddaughter, Christina Jensen, her sister, Doris Gordon and her brothers, Bud Lewis, John Lewis and Tom Lewis.
A private service will be held by the family at a later date.
