Scenic City Chorus is a chapter of Sweet Adelines International, Inc., a global organization of women singers committed to advancing a cappella harmony—barbershop-style—through education and performance. Based in Chattanooga, its members come from northern Georgia, northern Alabama, and southeastern Tennessee, and have varied musical backgrounds.
For over 52 years, Scenic City Chorus and its smaller ensemble groups and quartets have entertained audiences in the greater Chattanooga area at many venues. They compete yearly in Sweet Adeline International’s six-state, regional competition, and placed third in the mid-sized chorus division and fourth overall in 2014. The chorus rehearses from 6:30–9:30 p.m. every Monday at Spring Creek Road Baptist Church, 1312 Spring Creek Road. Women of all ages are welcome to join.
Scenic City Chorus, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, is sponsored on the platinum level by WTCI-PBS, Channel 45.
