Velma R. McDaniels, 82, died on November 19, 2014 at a local hospital.
She was a member of Greater Tucker Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathaniel “Mack” McDaniel.
Survivors include her daughters, Joanne McDaniels, Elaine Sammons, Natalie McDaniels and Leslie McDaniels; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 25, at 11 a.m. at Greater Tucker Baptist Church with Reverend Gary Hathaway officiating. Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The body will lie in state after noon on Monday, Nov. 24, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
