Roy Marcellous Lowe, 78, of Georgetown, TN, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2014 at his home.
Roy was born in Chattanooga on September 11, 1936 to the late Leonard and Ophia Lowe. He spent most of his life living in Orlando, Florida before moving back to Hamilton County in July of 2003. While in Florida, Mr. Lowe was an auto body repair specialist at Superior GMC. He was also a veteran of the United States Army. Roy will always be remembered as a hardworking man who could always be counted on.
In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by four of his brothers, Edward Lowe, Franklin Lowe, Thomas Lowe and Charles Lowe.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Helen Lowe; his daughter, Delores Parmenter of Georgetown, TN; his brother, Daniel Curtis Lowe; his sisters, Jeanette Lowe Legg of Chattanooga and Patsy Pricelia Lowe Luse of Nashville, TN; his grandchildren, Andrea Patti of Fort Walton, FL and Richard Roy (Deanna) Parmenter of Orlando, FL; and great-grandchildren, Donald Fuson of Fort Walton, FL, Ceria Marie Fuson of Orlando, FL and Kaylah Michelle Harrison, of Fort Walton, FL.
A celebration of Roy's life is going to be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, at the New Shephard Hill Baptist Church off of highway 58 in Ooltewah, TN.
