SORBA (Southern Off-Road Biking Association) Chattanooga announced the Race Series schedule for 2015. Registration for all races opens on Dec. 1. Pick Your Poison, a cross country race at Booker T. Washington State Park; Soul Sucker, which has a 25k and 50k option held at Raccoon Mountain; the Raccoon Mountain Super D, a downhill race; Night Shift, the six-hour twilight race at Enterprise South Nature Park; and Five Points Fifty at Lula Lake Land Trust, make up the five-race series for 2015.
Featuring some newer and some older races, the series appeals to mountain bikers of all levels of experience and attracts nearly a thousand racers each year. The schedule has been tweaked for 2015 to accommodate the success of the Raccoon Mountain Super D so that it now has its own weekend separate from the Soul Sucker time trial also held at Raccoon Mountain. Additionally, that race and Night Shift swapped dates to avoid the heat and humidity of July for the day race.
Those interested in registering for any of the races may do so starting Dec. 1 by going to bikereg.com. For more information and to stay updated on the races, visit SORBA Chattanooga’s website, blog, and Facebook Page.
