Eva Mae Greer Baker (Aunt Mae), 87, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died suddenly on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at a local hospital.
She was born in Shelbyville, Tn., on July 19, 1928, to the late Ben and Beulah Greer.
She was preceded in death by nine siblings: Harrison Trice, Robert Lee Greer, Henry Clay Greer, Frances Greer, Earl Greer, Jessie James Greer, Gladys Greer King, Clarence Greer and Raymond Greer, all of Shelbyville.
She is survived by Jessica Jennings, whom she raised as her daughter; four grandchildren; a devoted niece, Mary Young, a devoted God-niece, Patricia Dismuke; a devoted nephew, Terry Young; lifetime friends, Eddie Ashley, Minnie Pearl Neal, Eugene Huggins, Beatrice Jerido and Laneisa Eldridge, who was also like a daughter to her; Jessie Deloris Baker, God-niece and live-in caregiver.
She will lie in state at John P. Franklin Funeral Home on Wednesday, Nov. 26, from 9-11 a.m.
Funeral arrangements will be made by Nelson & Son Funeral Home, Shelbyville, Tn.
