Retha Goforth, 71, of Benton, TN, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2014 at a Chattanooga Hospice Facility.
She was a member of the Benton congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She loved her church and being involved in the ministry.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Adda Stewart; and daughter, Karen Burchfield.
Survivors include her son, Lonnie Goforth and wife, Angela of Benton; grandchildren, Nelson Goforth of Old Fort, Amber Sheler and husband, Brandon of Delano, Tabitha Wagner and husband, Scott and Tera Bales and husband, Ron; three step-grandchildren; siblings, Junior Pennington of Leatherwood, KY, Owen Pennington of Leatherwood, KY, Leroy Pennington of Nancy, KY, Yvonne Pennington of Leatherwood, KY, Shirley Turner of Harlan, KY and Shelia Pellasmas of Knoxville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 6, at the Benton Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Arrangements are being handled by Grissom-Serenity Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
