U.S. 27 North Reopened To 2 Lanes In Repaving Project

  • Tuesday, November 25, 2014

U.S. 27 North has reopened to two lanes. The contractor has completed the paving, striping and traffic shift operation for the day.

The contractor is trying to get as much paving on the mainline of U.S. 27 done while the weather is cooperating, so they will be working on U.S. 27 North as much as possible during the next several days (with the exception of Thanksgiving Day). After Thanksgiving, they plan to be out of traffic doing their work, but they will be working in the area nonetheless. This is the final push as they head toward completion of the project.  The goal is to have traffic on final alignment before the end of the year.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol and TDOT HELP trucks are assisting with traffic control. Officials regret any inconvenience that this will cause drivers traveling on U.S. 27 North.
