  • Tuesday, November 25, 2014

The Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce announced today that Honor Mohney has been appointed Community Outreach manager, where her responsibilities include managing the chamber’s 12 area councils.

Chamber Councils bring business professionals together to support a specific geographic area within the community through networking opportunities, special events and civic projects that benefit schools and businesses.

Ms. Mohney will also direct the Smart Buys member savings program, which includes partnerships with Office Depot, Constant Contact, First Data and Ignite Payments that provide significant savings to chamber members.

“We’re excited to have Honor onboard,“ said Sandra Brewer, chamber vice president of Member-Investor Relations. “Honor’s background in sales management and customer service will enable us to effectively serve our Councils and continue to provide great benefits to our members.”

Ms. Mohney, a graduate of Girls Preparatory School and the University of Tennessee Knoxville, previously served as Business Transient Sales manager at Chattanooga Marriott. Committed to community service, Ms. Mohney volunteers with the Junior League of Chattanooga, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Rotaract, a Rotary-sponsored service organization for young professionals.

“The chamber is a strong organization of great leaders,” said Ms. Mohney. “I’m excited to join this team and especially look forward to working to better the Chattanooga community through my involvement with each of the councils and their representatives.”
