Jeremiah Nathaniel “Boog” Mathis, 28, of Cleveland, TN, died on Monday, November 24, 2014 in a Chattanooga hospital.

He attended Mt. Olive Church of God and was active in the Media Ministry at the church. He enjoyed fishing, kayaking and working with computers. He was a loving “hubban” and awesome “daddee”. He was an example of never stopping, never giving up, unbreaking and always and forever love. In the words of his mother, “My precious wonderful son, I love you lots & lots.”

He is survived by his wife, Desiree Mathis; son, Noah “Bear” Mathis, both of Ocoee; mother and father, Karyn Roberts & Mark Hall of Cleveland; grandfather, Ed Stowers of Cleveland; siblings, Tyke Mathis and wife, Karissia of Okinawa, Japan and Lindsey Dunn and husband, Scott of Cleveland; and many other special loved ones.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, November 28, at Mt. Olive Church of God with Pastor Gary Sears officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. at the church prior to the service on Friday, November 28.

The family requests that memorials be made to the. Mt. Olive Ministries Media Department, 3522 Harrison Pike, Cleveland, TN 37311.

Arrangements are being handled by Grissom-Serenity Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
