Stephen A. Woodfin, 67, of South Pittsburg, TN, died Friday, November 28, 2014 at Erlanger Hospital following an extended illness.
The son of the late Austin Flint and Dorothy Margaret Lambert Woodfin, he was a former Branch Manager for Tennessee Transporters in Chattanooga, and was a member of Christ Church Episcopal in South Pittsburg.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Schnauffer Woodfin; and daughter, Tammy Knight.
Mr. Woodfin’s family would like to thank the staff of Cumberland Rehab and the doctors and staff at Erlanger Hospital for their care and support during his illness.
He is survived by his children, Larry Woodfin of South Pittsburg, Stephanie (Ruben) Prince of South Pittsburg, Flint Woodfin of Jasper, TN and Leslie (Steven) Worthy of Guntersville, AL; and seven grandchildren, Maggie and Mason Prince, Luke and Hope Woodfin, Brianna Gilliam, Austin Woodfin, and Anna Worthy.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Central time on Monday, December 1, at Christ Church, Episcopal in South Pittsburg, TN with Rev. Kim Hobby officiating.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, November 30, from 2-5 p.m. Central time at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg, who has charge of the arrangements.
The family requests that no flowers be sent. In lieu of flowers, they suggest that memorial donations be made to the Marion County Food Bank, PO Box 681, Sequatchie, TN 37374.
