Man Who Killed Stringbean Akeman And Wife Released From Prison After Serving 40 Years

The man convicted of killing country music star David "Stringbean" Akeman and Estelle Akeman was released from prison Monday morning.

John Brown was released from Lois DeBerry Special Needs Facility.

Brown was convicted of murder in the 1973 deaths of the couple.

Last month, the Board of Parole granted Brown’s parole after he served 40 years in prison.
