University Of Tennessee Chattanooga ElderScholar Meeting To Be Held On Nov. 11

The November ElderScholars meeting will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 11 at 1 p.m. in the Lookout Mountain Room of the University Center.  The speaker for November will be George Davenport.

Mr. Davenport represents the Signal Mountain Lions Club and their program of providing speakers for area organizations.  He was named Lion of the year for the Lions Club District that covers the Eastern portion of State.  He is also a past District Treasurer.  He also helped in providing the program for the National Medal of Honor Museum for the ElderScholars.  Mr. Davenport's subject will be The Great Depression (1929-1940). 

Different from previous years, parking is free only in Lot 7 which is at Douglas and East Fifth St. near the Maclellan Gym, or across East Fifth St. from Lot 7 at the Fifth St. Parking Garage (the high rise parking garage).  If you park in Lot 7, you will need to place a copy of a letter on your dashboard indicating that you are attending the ElderScholar Meeting.  To obtain a copy of this letter, you may contact Ray Millard at rmillard@catt.com or 706-937-3748. If you park in the high rise, when you leave just tell the attendant that you have been attending the ElderScholar Meeting.
