Five Shot Early Sunday Morning In East Chattanooga

Police responded to a shooting at 2412 East 13th Street just after midnight on Sunday. They immediately located two victims, 19-year-old Demonya Battle and 18-year-old Joshua Woodruff, suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.

Later, officers were advised of two more victims, 20-year-old Raheem E. Cobbins and a juvenile, who had arrived at a local hospital in a personal vehicle.

Officers were then flagged down by a fifth victim on South Willow Street where 21-year-old Shandextria Pitts was found suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot injury.

Investigators have learned there was a birthday party at 2412 East 13th Street when an unknown suspect began shooting into the residence.
