The Tony-nominated play Bus Stop by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright William Inge will be presented at the Frierson Theatre on the GPS campus on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and in a matinee on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Tickets for the GPS/McCallie coordinate production are $6.
The drama has both quasi-romantic and comedic parts. Set in a diner in rural Kansas during a snowstorm, the action revolves around a group of people who must take shelter during a snowstorm in the middle of the night. Snowbound together, they make discoveries about each other and themselves.
Cast members are Maddie Logan, Mia Paden, Kobi Cummings, Jacob Davis, Will Wilson, Will Adams, Justin Payne, and Andrew Landsbergen. Crew members are Philip Stephenson, Brooklyn Breedlove, Jennie Williams, Leah Baxter, Lilly Albright, Mary Lillian Tessmann, and Mary Catherine Smalley.
The play is directed by GPS faculty member Suzanne Smartt, who has been recognized regionally for her acting, directing, and producing talents.
