'Chains Of Courage' Winners Announced

Hamilton County Department of Education congratulates Christie Maupin, school counselor at Wallace A. Smith Elementary School and Jennifer Sipula, classroom teacher at Red Bank Elementary School.  

Both participated in the “Chains of Courage” school challenge to support National Bullying Prevention Month in October sponsored by Hamilton Place Mall.  The schools tied with a total of 18 classrooms each participating in the challenge and were awarded “The S.H.A.R.K. (Students Help Achieve Respect and Kindness) Patrol Kit,” a bully prevention educational program for teachers, counselors and parents.

 School Board Vice Chair Donna Horn will conduct mini-trainings for each school.
