I have called the Times Free Press for the past two years on many occasions and asked that their carrier stop throwing their Wednesday advertising junk in my yard. I’m always told that it will be reported and nothing happens. This is not right and I’m starting a movement to stop it.
The paper thrown in my yard on Wednesday Nov. 26, 2014, Vol. 9, N0. 48 consisted of the following: a total of 1,765.875 square inches of paper of which approx. 61.8125 square inches contained news in the form of text and pictures. This means that only 3.629 percent of the mess thrown in my yard is being used for community news and pictures. I want them to stop throwing this junk in my yard. I’ll get my news from TV, radio or the Internet, not from my front yard on Wednesdays. This so-called Community News Weekly is a scam so the Times Free Press can throw junk advertising in my yard. If you feel as I do please tell your local officials about this disregard for your property.

Disregarding the lame "freedom of the press" argument that was used by one group, anything that is thrown in your yard against your wishes is littering. The mail, even junk mail is lawfully delivered to a mailbox. Tossing something in your yard after you have told them to stop is not lawful.
I told this to one guy who was delivering for another group and he saw the light and passed my yard up from then on.
