Founders of the Christian Bryant Foundation honored Christian Bryant’s birthday on November 22, by donating 20 iPads and protective cases to patients at T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders Center.
Christian’s parents, Robyn and Chris, along with sister Bailey Bryant stopped by Children’s Hospital to visit some of the children and talk to family members who are benefiting from the foundation’s donations.
Karlie Mathis, a 12-year-old who is receiving medical treatment at the center, received one of the iPads and is anxious to reap the benefits of connecting with family and friends or working on projects while she is away from home and school.
In the summer of 2011, Girls Preparatory School senior and cross county athlete Christian was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. She and her family spent many days at the hospital through testing and chemotherapy treatments fighting to stay well and make it through remission. Sadly, Christian passed away less than a year later. But, thanks to her family’s support to Children’s Hospital, her legacy still lives on.
Children’s Hospital representatives are extremely grateful for the Bryant’s generosity to provide support to its departments and the families whose love ones are treated at the hospital. The memory of Christian will remain forever on the forefront as they continue to care for children who fight for their life everyday.
