Bradley County Sheriff's Office Forms Alzheimer's Directory

  • Monday, December 15, 2014

Bradley County Sheriff Eric Watson has announced the formation of an Alzheimer’s Directory for the use of officers and staff at BCSO.

At the request of family members, a senior assist officer will respond to a residence to take a photograph of and collect information for the log book that will easily describe a family member with Alzheimer’s disease.  This is a free service from the Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Watson stresses all information, including the family member’s photograph will remain strictly confidential until such time there is a need to assist law enforcement personnel to identify and return them home safely in the event the family member wanders away. Periodically, a volunteer officer will make an appointment to visit the home, to check on the loved-one.

Sheriff Watson encourages anyone who has a loved-one with Alzheimer’s disease to contact the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office at 728-7313, to find out more about this free public service.
