Henrietta White McMahan West, 92, of Chickamauga, Georgia, died on Wednesday, December 17, 2014.
She was born in Rising Fawn, Ga., to the late Asa and Cecil Hitt McMahan. She had lived most of her life in Chickamauga and enjoyed gardening. She retired from Volunteer Life/Chubb Life after twenty nine years of service. She was a longtime member of Gospel Tabernacle (now known as Cross Connection) in Chickamauga, where she enjoyed being part of the Women's Ministry.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Gardner West, and siblings, Thelma McMahan, Mary Kirk, Ruth Boren, Buddy, Sonny and Donnie McMahan.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Larry Gardner (Chung) West of Junction City, KS, Thomas Alan (Linda) West of Mayesville, GA, Jeffery Lynn (Mary Elizabeth) West of Spring City, TN, brother: Charles McMahan of Rising Fawn, GA, eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, Dec. 19, from 5–9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20, at Cross Connection Church with Minister Joey Kelly officiating. Burial will follow at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park, Rossville.
