Produce Plus Food Pantry Food Drop In Chatsworth Is On Saturday

  • Thursday, December 18, 2014

The Chattanooga Area Food Bank will collaborate on Saturday with Procter and Gamble and Rock Bridge Community Church to provide a “Produce Plus” mobile pantry food drop in Chatsworth.

“Produce Plus” pantries align with the CAFB’s mission to eliminate hunger and promote better nutrition by providing increased produce along with other meal staples.

Saturday’s “Produce Plus” pantry is expected to provide 14-15,000 pounds of food to over 300 children and their families as well as local seniors. Each family should walk away with 40-50 pounds of food right as they head into the holidays.

Mobile pantries are an opportunity to see the impact a few organizations can make when they work together to fight hunger by providing nutritious foods.

The pantry will be open from 9-11 a.m. at the Murray County Senior Center, 820 GI Maddox Pkwy., Chatsworth, Ga. 30705.
