Frances Caylor Wrinkle, 88, of Chattanooga, died Monday, December 15, 2014 at a Chattanooga hospital.
She was born in Atlanta, GA and was the daughter of James P. Caylor, Sr. and Catherine Blackburn Caylor. She was married to the late Robert S. Wrinkle, Sr. in November 1950. They were former residents of Cleveland, TN and had lived in Dallas, Austin and Midland, TX before moving to Chattanooga in 1968.
Mrs. Wrinkle was an Honorary Life Member of the Tennessee Congress of Parents & Teachers Association and was a past president of the Austin Texas Association of Life Underwriters Auxiliary. She was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga and a past president of the J. Fred Johnson Bible Class. Mrs. Wrinkle gained the love and respect of all who knew her by her many small but important acts of kindness and service to others. Spending time with her family and friends was her greatest joy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert S. Wrinkle, Sr. of Chattanooga; her brothers, James P. Caylor, Jr., Robert F. Caylor (Myrna) and Raymond B. Caylor (Evelyn Caylor Cross) all of Cleveland; and her sister, Virginia Russell of Nashville.
Survivors include a daughter, Rhonda Wrinkle Garrett (Mike) of Wake Forest, NC; two sons, Robert S. Wrinkle, Jr. (Jennifer) of Knoxville, and Randolph (Randy) S. Wrinkle of Chattanooga. Mrs. Wrinkle is also survived by her sister, Margaret Lee of Cleveland; grandchildren, Julie Garrett Miles, Jessica Garrett Coombs, Jennifer Garrett Brown, Danielle Mayes, Laural Strange, Caylor Wrinkle, Robert S. Wrinkle, III and Charlie Wrinkle White; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at Companion Funeral Home in Cleveland on Saturday, December 20 at 2 p.m. with Dr. Mike Garrett officiating. The family will receive visitors from 12-1:30 p.m. prior to the service. Internment at Fort Hill Cemetery will immediately follow the service.
