Alex Sheen will speak at a luncheon to benefit Blood Assurance at 11:30 a.m. on Jan. 15 at the Double Tree Hotel in Downtown Chattanooga. Alex is the founder of because I said I would, a social movement and nonprofit organization. Through his philanthropic work, his personal commitments and the stories of his supporters, Alex speaks to audiences around the world about the importance of keeping a promise.
Blood Assurance is a 501 c 3 non-profit blood center based in Chattanooga.
Blood and blood components are supplied to seventy health care facilities in 47 counties in the area served by Blood Assurance. Over 400 volunteer blood donors are needed every day in order to adequately supply these hospitals. Other programs supported by Blood Assurance include: the Crystal Green Memorial Scholarship fund, the Excellence in Education high school grant program, and the Be the Match marrow registry.
